I watched this show the other night when my daughter-in-law birthday came up. She knew all the characters.
The show centers around Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), who was simply not the nicest man to be around. I had been surprised when she turned into that police officer who was equally cruel. She was a fanatic from the beginning.
Dr. John E. Reid was once the leader of the team detective that was hired to find the case of the death of a child named Daniel on the train tracks. He was still a loner at the start, until one day he made his first friend, the team’s newest member, Kate Beckett (Katey Sagal).

Amanda Warren is amazing women. She was my favorite character, although the show did not really take her out of the equation. She was still one of the main players on the show.
